- Go to Start -> Run -> type regedit and enter
- Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Policies\ Explorer
- Create a DWORD value with the key NoRecentDocsHistory and set the value to 1
